Fishermen Village Conca dei Marini
One of the most beautiful villages in Italy and the Mediterranean. This ancient village is nestled like a pearl between the mountains and the shore of Conca dei Marini. The houses of the old town are all overlooking the beach which has the emerald sea. Jacqueline Kennedy in the ’60s chose the beach of Conca dei Marini for his stay at a beautiful residence in Ravello.
'Emerald Grotto' Conca dei Marini
The Emerald Grotto is located just 5 minutes from the B&B Euroconca da Claudio. The cave was discovered in 1932 by a local fisherman and owes its name to the color taken on by the water which reflects the light filtered by the rocks, thus creating chromatic effects with astonishing shades: from cobalt blue to turquoise to emerald green. The Emerald Grotto is approximately 30 meters wide by 60 meters high and 24 meters high at the highest points, and is made up of columns, stalactites and stalagmites with particular shapes, which create a fascinating environment. A must-see for tourists who visit the magnificent Amalfi Coast every year.
Furore Fjord
In a few minutes you will reach the old town and the beautiful beach, where it was a museum dedicated to Anna Magnani because in the 60s here turned into a popular movie with Roberto Rossellini. The Fjord is protected natural oasis in this heavenly place and there live very rare species, both plant and animal. Among other bulbiferous giant fern and the peregrine falcon. In the old village you can admire the monazzeri, the old fishermen’s houses, an old rock chapel, the old mill, and lime kiln.
